Payment Terms: Public Customers
We accept all payments via credit card through our secure webstore.

Registered Customers
Registration on our website should be completed by directors or authorised personal of educational organisations within New Zealand. Invoices are processed/printed upon dispatch of your order and payment terms are strictly 20th of the month following, please keep in mind in some cases your invoice may arrive prior to your order. Starex reserves the right to change its payment terms at any time.

Product Information & Availability: To the best of our ability we keep our website product updated to reflect correct product specifications, images and delivery timeframes. Occasionally we may make an error in a products information or image – we reserve the right to correct this and will do so as soon as it is brought to our attention. It is never our intention to mislead the Customer.

In the event that your product of choice is not available in the colour or size you requested, you will be notified and given the available options. These options may include; the purchase of a different colour, a different size, the delivery at a later specified time, or cancellation of the order.

We cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will be accurate. We will endeavour to deliver the corresponding products but do not warrant that the products we deliver to you will be identical to those displayed in the photograph or on your monitor.
Guarantees: We deliver products of the highest quality which should arrive in perfect condition. If for any reason there appears to be something wrong with your product or the product is not to your satisfaction, please contact us immediately so the problem can be resolved.

All Starex products are guaranteed, guaranteeing that the item will stand up to the use for which it was designed. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper care, accidents or the natural breakdown of materials over time. These warranties cover material, design and workmanship faults. The warranty commences the day of purchase.
The warranty on the item(s) only covers the original owner. We reserve the right to replace or repair any item found to be defective.

Material, design or production faults are extremely rare. If you find your product to be defective please contact us. In cases where the item needs to be returned to us we will arrange either freight or an agreed amount for freight reimbursement. PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE SENDING ANY ITEM(S) back to us. Freight reimbursement will only be given by prior arrangement.
Prices: The prices displayed on our website are those current at the time we process your order. In all cases, the prices displayed are quoted in NZ dollars and are valid and effective only in New Zealand. Starex reserves the right to alter or correct prices without notice if necessary. If this occurs after you have placed an order we will contact you to ascertain whether you still wish to purchase the affected products.

Prices for goods and services on this website are displayed exclusive of GST.
Standard Freight & Delivery Policy: All Starex furniture leaves our factory fully assembled. Unlike other furniture companies we do not flat pack our furniture and by doing so produce a superior product. We use only the best transport companies to transport your furniture to you. All furniture is blanketed to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition. In cases where items are small enough to send via courier we will do this to save you money. If you receive any items that have been damaged please endorse the consignment note and contact us immediately on 07 575 4247.

We aim to dispatch your order as soon as possible; an approx delivery timeframe is outlined on each product page. Once the goods leave our factory delivery can take 1-4 days for North Island customers and 1-7 days for South Island customers. Some isolated regions may require additional delivery time. If you require an update on the delivery of your order please email us at starex@starex.co.nz.

Delivery charges are calculated and added to your order after you enter your delivery location and before you enter your payment details. You will see the full charge before completing your purchase. Delivery charges are in NZ dollars. Note that higher charges may apply for deliveries to some rural and remote areas. We will advise you if a higher delivery charge is required. We will not send the goods without your approval of this higher rate.

We choose not to ship part orders, if you choose to modify your order we will appropriately change the freight charge payable.
Returns Policy: Within 7 days of delivery you may return any item purchased in 'new' condition with original packaging for a full refund. Items returned within this period can either be exchanged or credited. An item can be exchanged for any product of the same value or used as a credit towards an item of higher value. If an item is exchanged for an item of a lesser value a credit will be given. Credits will only be given to the same credit card or account as the items were originally charged.

Freight charges are not creditable. It is the customer's responsibility to freight the item(s) back to Starex. A credit will only be given, or replacement items sent on the safe arrival of the items to Starex. The item(s) must be returned in 'new' condition with all packaging, ticketing and labelling. The item(s) remain the property of the purchaser until returned to Starex. A freight charge will apply for the shipment of any new item(s) to the customer. A quote will be given prior to dispatch.

Please notify us prior to returning the item(s) so we can discuss the options for both the product that you wish to replace and the freight charges.

If Starex inspects returned product and deems it to be faulty, we will refund both the price you paid for the product and the freight charges.

If product has been damaged in transit please call us on 07 575 4247 and we will arrange to replace the damaged products(s).
Privacy Policy: Your right to privacy is very important to us and we recognise that when you provide us with information about yourself, you trust us to act responsibly. Your information is secure and remains the sole property of Starex and will not be provided by us to any other organisation or company, with the exception of delivery companies and our web service providers. Such companies and individuals will have access to specific personal information required to make deliveries or carry out specific tasks, but may not use your details for any other purposes.

When you visit our website, we may collect more information such as your internet service provider's (ISP) address, the name of the web page directing you, as well as your clicks and activity on our site. This tracking data helps us understand how to make our website more available and user friendly to our customers.
Security: The Starex website operates on SSL secure ordering system. SSL technology, which encrypts (scrambles) your information whenever we are receiving or transferring your details on our site. When making an online purchase a small padlock symbol will appear on your screen. This indicates that the SSL security system is operating throughout your transaction. This encrypting ensures that your details can not be read by, or altered by outside influences.

You can submit your details including credit card numbers with confidence. We ask that the credit card provided is that of the same person who is ordering the products. If you still feel uncomfortable about submitting your details, this is not a problem. Contact us and we can get your details some other way such as by fax (0800 575 4247) or phone (07 575 4247).
Removing your name from our mailing list: We will always ask your permission before sending out emails to you of a marketing nature. You have the right, at any stage, to choose not to receive emails or mailers from us that are not related to your orders or enquiries. We only email you if you want us to. We do not send unsolicited emails and we do not disclose your email address to third parties.

Every promotional email message we send includes an email address to which you can respond. If at any time you decide you do not want to receive our emails, simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter. You can also let us know that you wish to be removed from our mailing list by using the "Contact Us" page on our website, or by calling us during business hours on 07 575 4247.
