- Adjustable Legs
- Used on tables and easels to vary the heights for different age groups and are optional for an additional cost.
- Acrylic Mirror
- Used for safety - it is unbreakable.
- Bins
- All bins supplied with furniture may change from time to time due to supply. (If replacements are necessary we carry a comprehensive stock).
- Bullnosing
- An edging we use on the table tops of chunky tables.
- Castors/Wheels
- Most units we supply with lockable wheels. Some inaccessible wheels will be unlockable. Heavy units have larger and more robust wheels. All wheels are easily replaced.
- Chunky
- A style of table and chairs. Chunky tables and chairs are a thicker frame and table top.
- Clear Lacquer
- A clear coating that we spray on all our products to give a clear smooth finish.
- Clips
- An additional option for all painting easels. Please let us know if you would like this option on your easels.
- Colours
- We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products on this website.
- Customwood/MDF
- Used on 80% of all Starex products. It is not recommended for use in wet conditions. To clean use a damp cloth, but any large amount of water can result in the customwood swelling.
- Double Hooks
- Can be put on clothing and bag resources for extra hanging. They are an additional cost so please contact us for more information.
- Fibreglass Trough
- (White) is what we supply with our water trough. Fibreglass is extremely durable, sturdy and easy to keep clean. Troughs have a drain plug, the colour of the plug may vary depending on supply.
- Folding Legs
- This is a space saving option.
- Galvanised Steel
- Designed to withstand wet weather. We use powder-coated galvanised steel on outdoor equipment.
- Heights
- Especially important with tables and chairs. Please measure tables you have as a guide or contact us to assist you to work out what heights are best for your age groups.
- Hinges
- We use quality cabinet making hinges that are child safe and durable.
- Laminate/Formica
- Our table top recommendation. Laminate and Formica are very durable. Our standard colours are Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, White and Cream.
- Magnetic Board/ Magnetic Whiteboard
- What we use for our easels and special computer desks.
- Measurements
- Are all in millimetres (mm).
- Melteca
- We do not recommend Melteca for table tops. It scratches very easily and will not last as long as Laminate/Formica.
- Opaque Perspex
- What we use for our lightbox tops, it is translucent.
- Paint
- All our timber painting is professionally sprayed in our own onsite booths. All paints used are child safe.
- Perspex
- Used mostly in Starex products instead of glass. It is easy to clean, a safer option and very durable.
- Ply
- Used in some Starex products. It is not recommended for wet conditions. To clean use a damp cloth. Ply gives you a natural timber look.
- Powder Coating
- The process we use to coat all steel. There are a wide selection of colours available.
- Pot Holders
- What we supply with our painting easels. You can choose either pot holders or troughs or one of each!
- Standard Legs
- The term we use for a 'fixed height' table. Please let us know if you wish your table to be a certain height. We can make tables to any height you require.
- T-Edging
- An edging we use on the table tops of all our standard tables.
- Troughs
- What we supply with our painting easels. You can choose either troughs or pot holders or one of each!
- Vinyl
- The fabric we use for all our upholstery. It is very durable and easy to keep clean. For cleaning please use a damp clean cloth.
